For the parent carrying a lot

You want your child to love the Qur’an—but you are not always sure how to begin

You want more for your child than memorising a list of short surahs. You want them to begin understanding who Allah is, why they ask Him for guidance, why they turn to Him for protection, why gratitude matters and how sincere faith can appear in the way they pray, speak, help and treat other people.

But real family life is already full. You may be balancing work deadlines, school runs, meals, laundry, homework and bedtime while carrying the quiet worry that you are still not doing enough for your child’s Islamic learning.

You may know how to ask your child to repeat a surah, but not how to explain its meaning in words a four-, five- or six-year-old can understand. Your child may become restless, lose interest, repeat the same mistake or simply say, “I don’t want to practise.”

There is another way to begin

Not through long lessons. Not through pressure to finish. Not through expecting a young child to sit still until every page is complete.

Begin through small family moments: listen to one āyah, share one child-sized meaning, ask one warm question and choose one tiny action. Five peaceful minutes can be enough.

“Your child does not need a perfect teacher. They need a warm guide who keeps returning to Allah with them.”

Connection before completion

Qur’an learning that fits real family life

Small and flexible

Use the journey on the sofa, after salah, before bed, at the table or during a quiet weekend morning. Follow your child’s attention—not the clock.

Meaning, not memorisation alone

Recitation matters, but children also need help discovering what a passage teaches about Allah and how that truth belongs in everyday life.

Warm, not test-like

Conversation prompts are open and gentle. Children can wonder, point, draw, move or answer aloud without being pushed toward one perfect response.

A clear path for every module

The Little Hearts Method

Every module follows the same six-page rhythm, so you do not have to invent lesson plans or search for a new activity each week. One module may take a week, several weeks or longer. Understanding—not a deadline—guides the pace.

1

Parent Guide

Meet the surah or āyah yourself through its central message, child-sized truth, vocabulary, key meanings, teaching cautions and relevant references.

2

Let’s Discover

Read or listen together and introduce one memorable truth in language a young child can begin to understand.

3

Talk Together

Use warm questions to connect the lesson to your child’s feelings, worries, choices, relationships and everyday experiences.

4

Meaningful Activity

Explore through colouring, drawing, matching, sorting, cutting, gluing, mazes, reflection and visual choices connected to the lesson.

5

Live the Lesson

Carry one Qur’anic truth into family life through a small practical action involving guidance, gratitude, protection, humility, worship or kindness.

6

Return & Remember

Revisit through listening, repetition and reflection. Notice growth without presenting the page as a test of mastery.

Nine foundational surahs and one great āyah

Ten guided Qur’an modules

Module 01

Surah Al-Fātiḥah

Meet Al-Fātiḥah as a beautiful daily conversation with Allah: praising Him, worshipping Him alone, asking for help and seeking guidance for everyday choices.

Module 02

Surah Al-Ikhlāṣ

Introduce the truth that Allah is One. Everyone needs Him, while He needs no one; He has no children and nothing is comparable to Him.

Module 03

Surah Al-Falaq

Teach that Allah is our refuge. Children explore comforting ways to seek His protection while also speaking to a trusted adult and taking sensible action.

Module 04

Surah An-Nās

Learn that Allah is the Lord, King and God of all people. Children practise pausing, asking Allah for help and choosing a truthful or helpful next step.

Module 05

Surah Al-Kawthar

Notice Allah’s abundant goodness and respond with gratitude and worship through a child-friendly “river of blessings” and a small family gratitude habit.

Module 06

Surah Al-Masad

Explore why wealth and status cannot replace faith or good character. The lesson stays age-appropriate and avoids frightening imagery.

Module 07

Surah An-Naṣr

Discover that help and success come from Allah. Children practise praise, seeking forgiveness and choosing humility when something goes well.

Module 08

Surah Al-Kāfirūn

Understand that worship belongs to Allah alone while learning to remain clear in faith and kind, polite and fair with other people.

Module 09

Surah Al-Māʿūn

Connect sincere worship with compassion and small useful acts. Children notice how prayer, care and helpful hands belong together.

Module 10

Āyatul Kursī

Explore essential truths from Al-Baqarah 2:255: Allah alone deserves worship; He is Ever-Living, never sleeps or tires, knows everything and perfectly sustains creation.

This resource supports meaning and connection

The Little Hearts Qur’an Journey is not a complete Arabic-reading curriculum, tajwīd course, pronunciation course, full tafsīr or replacement for a qualified Qur’an teacher. Use a qualified teacher or trusted recitation source for accurate pronunciation and tajwīd.

It does not promise that a child will master every surah, and it is not a workbook a young child is expected to complete alone. It is a parent-guided resource for family learning.

This is a digital purchase. No physical book will be delivered.

A personal household licence allows use with children living in your immediate household. The files may not be shared, resold, uploaded, distributed or used by another household, classroom, madrasah or organisation without the appropriate licence.

Frequently asked questions

Before you begin

Is my four- or five-year-old too young?

Not necessarily. The journey is parent-guided. Younger children can listen, point, choose, answer verbally, colour, match and move with your support. Follow your child’s attention and development rather than forcing a fixed pace.

Does my child need to memorise the surah first?

No. Listening, memorisation and understanding can grow together. You can explore one meaning while your child is still learning the words.

Does my child need to read or write independently?

No. You can read the explanations and questions aloud. Your child may respond verbally or through pointing, drawing, colouring and choosing.

Must we follow the modules in order?

No. Begin with the surah your child currently hears, recites or feels curious about. The familiar six-page rhythm makes it easy to enter the journey wherever your family is.

Do we need to complete one module every week?

No. A module can take a week, several weeks or longer. Follow understanding and your child’s attention—not the calendar.

How much time do we need?

Approximately five to ten calm minutes can be enough. Listen to one āyah, share one explanation, ask one question or complete one small part, then stop while the moment still feels warm.

Can I use this alongside Qur’an classes?

Yes. A qualified teacher can support accurate recitation, while this journey helps bring meanings, conversations and practical lessons into family life.

Does the journey teach tajwīd?

No. It focuses on meaning, reflection, conversation and daily-life connection. Use a qualified teacher or reliable recitation source for pronunciation and tajwīd.

Can I use it for Muslim homeschooling?

Yes. It can be used as a Muslim homeschool resource, weekend-learning guide, after-school activity book or gentle family Qur’an routine.

Do I need to print everything?

No. Print one module, one activity or one card at a time. The separate Digital-Use Edition is included for families who also want on-screen access.

Can we use it on a tablet?

Yes. Open the Digital-Use PDF on a compatible tablet or computer. A suitable PDF annotation app may be required for writing, drawing, colouring or marking answers.

Can siblings use one purchase?

Yes, children living in your immediate household may use the resource under the personal household licence. The files may not be passed to another family, classroom, madrasah or organisation.

Begin where your family is

Your child does not need more pressure

They need repeated invitations filled with warmth. They need space to ask questions and help connecting Allah’s words to the worries, blessings, choices and relationships they already experience.

And you do not need a perfect lesson to offer that. One āyah listened to together matters. One truth remembered matters. One honest question matters. One tiny action inspired by the Qur’an matters.

Begin with Bismillāh. Keep it warm. Keep it small. Keep returning.

Begin your Little Hearts Qur’an Journey today—and help your child grow closer to Allah’s words one gentle step at a time.
